How long does it take for my printed gift card to be delivered?

Your card will take up to 7 – 10 business days to reach recipients within the US, and a week to 10 – 15 business days to reach recipients in other countries. Since cards are handled by the US Postal Service, be aware that during peak periods of holiday mail (generally between Thanksgiving and Christmas), there might be slight delays that we cannot control.

Once I've purchased a gift, what will the recipient receive?

For each item you select, we will send out a high-quality, personalized gift card directly to your recipient.

The front panel of the card shows a photograph of the item you selected and includes a caption. On the inside, there is information about the gift you selected and its importance to Oxfam America's work. The card also includes information about how your donation money is used, as well as the text of your personalized message.

What if I want to give my Oxfam America Unwrapped gift card to the recipient directly?

Follow the normal purchase process and select your name from the "Ship To" pull-down menu. You can still enter a personalized gift message (or leave it blank if you prefer to add a handwritten message later).

What if I don’t have enough time to mail a card? Can I get a card shipped faster?

Regrettably, we do not have a faster means of shipping. But after you place your order, you can send an e-card to let your recipient know a card is on its way. Click on “Tell a friend” on the left to send them a note that their card will arrive soon.

How is my donation spent?

Oxfam America works in 100 countries around the world. This catalog contains gift items that symbolically represent our work. The items selected represent project goals from grants disbursed by our seven global offices. The purchase of each gift item is a contribution toward Oxfam America's many programs, not a donation to a specific project or goal. Your donation will be used where it is needed the most—to help people living in poverty throughout the world.
